Cerkovni Vrh is a hill above Spodnja Idrija that you can access from multiple directions (Idrija, Spodnja Idrija, Kanomlja). From the top, you can see other local peaks such as Kobalove Planine, Jelenk, Kendov Vrh, Hleviška Planina, or Špičasti Vrh, while further in the distance, you can clearly see Mt. Porezen, Golaki, and Kobla.

Trail description
Reaching the starting point: From Ljubljana, take the road to Idrija. When you reach Idrija, take a right turn at the third crossing with traffic lights toward Spodnja Idrija (4 km). At the beginning of Spodnja Idrija, before the bridge that crosses the Idrijca River (next to the store) take a right turn and park at the parking lot next to the Spodnja Idrija House of Culture. You can also cross the bridge, take a right turn right after the bridge, and park in a smaller parking lot next to the main road.
Trail description: From the bigger parking lot next to the Spodnja Idrija House of Culture, cross the road and go to the staircase leading up to the church. You will see markings for Kuncl and Cerkovni Vrh. Follow the markings to the left past the church, past the chapel of rest to the top of the cemetery. Go through the iron gate and onto a path leading uphill. The path will soon turn left and ascend past a wooden stable. When you reach a crossroads, you can choose both possibilities: to the left, the trail will lead you to Kuncl, where you turn back towards the ridge and follow the markings; the trail leading straight ahead will also take you to the ridge in the direction of Cerkovni Vrh. Continue along the ridge. The trail will sometimes be very steep and will eventually circle to the left and then return to the right side of the ridge. Along the way, enjoy in the views of Spodnja Idrija and the surrounding hills. When you reach the pass, pay attention to signposts. On your right, signposts for Spodnja Idrija–Cerkovni Vrh–Lom will direct you to your left, onto a rocky path leading steeply uphill. In a few minutes, you will reach Cerkovni Vrh.
