Ledine Sports Park
The road leading from Spodnja Idrija to Ledine Plateau is steep and picturesque; it connects the Idrija and Poljane valleys.
The area of Ledine is also a watershed: on the one side, the Idrijca River and its tributaries flow into the Soča River, emptying into the Adriatic Sea; on the other, waters from the Ledine Plateau run to the Žirovnica River, into the Sovra, Sava, and Danube rivers, emptying into the Black Sea.
Due to its Karst nature, the surface of the Ledine Plateau hides a richness of fossils, as well as numerous caves, abysses, and sinkholes. The vast plateau offers hikes to Sivka (1008 m) or Gradišče (998 m).
In the past, people used to live in harmony with nature. Old traditions have been carefully preserved until today: here, you can see a valuable collection of farming equipment, or visit the traditional event of harvesting rye. The two local caterers will welcome you with open hands and offer you home-made and local dishes.

Trail description
Reaching the starting point: You can reach the starting point from the directions of Idrija or Žiri via the Idrija–Žiri road. Approximately in the middle between the two towns, turn towards Ledine at Ledinsko Razpotje. After a good 2 km drive, just before the village centre, turn right towards Ledinske Krnice and park at the Ledine Sports Park parking lot.
Trail description: From the starting point, go back to the main road where you turn right in the direction of Ledine center and continue straight ahaid towards the Kladnik farm. The road is ascending gradually, after 1.5 km it turns sharply left and then becomes flatter. At the highest point, pay atention to the cart road on your left and follow it. Wonderful views on the surrounding mountains open here. Continue walking on the cart path, pass to the right of a quarry and turn left to take a steep path under electrical installation. The path will lead you to the top og Gradišče, a viewpoint over Spodnja Idrija. From here, you can follow a path leading to the right past a small house and drops steeply. Follow it through the forest until you reach an asphalt road where you turn left. When you reach the first road branching right, follow the gravel road past a weekend house, across a meadow, and then right and down to a cart road. After a good 300 m, you will reach the Pečnik mills. Return back the same road and continue straight ahead, past the meadow. When you reach the next house, kepp left and continue on the asphalt road, turning right after some 10 m. Continue through the village of Pečnik to the main road Ledinsko Razpotje–Ledine, wher you turn left toward Ledine. After a good kilometer, you will reach your starting point.
